I've got a two week cruise coming up in a couple of weeks, which is prime reading time. Problem is I've got to decide what to take with me:

Patrick Rothfus - The Name of the Wind
Douglas Hulick - Among Thieves
Brent Weeks - Night Angel Trilogy
Samuel Delaney - Babel-17
Stephen Erikson - Gardens of the Moon

With Erikson, I have the whole series and I've read the first two but it was so long ago I'll want to re-read the first one again. Once I start though, I'll probably want to do the whole lot.

I can high five you for the top 3!!!

Think I should re-post mine of 3 months ago... bigger now... much bigger :P

Impressive, young Skywalker. Is that a Melanie Rawn I see in the middle of the middle row? Looks suspiciously like The Mageborn Traitor. Have never forgiven her for not finishing that series.

Yes... not sure I like the blurb of 'Men are no more than slaves' whilst 'women rule the world'

I wonder if perhaps it is some kind of plan / strategy rather than a novel? :P

2.  Crossroads of Twilight by Robert Jordan (halfway through)

Fuzzy Nation is hilarious.  Spellwright is good, with a great message, but is very debut novelish.  I've been sitting on Embedded for a while myself.

My next 5:

The Restoration Game by Ken MacLeod
Goblin Corps by Ari Marmell
Winds of Khalakavo by Bradley Beaulieu
The Sacred Band by David Anthony Durham
Empire State by Adam Christopher
