Yora, thanks for linking to this thread again - I'd already read it, but I'm laughing out loud with some tears included, again...
This needs to be up there for all the newbies ;D

And the last just left me speechless
This is really amazingly terrible, and probably the worst I've ever seen.

Though this one is also hilarious:
Spoiler for Hiden:

Like the cute dragon with the Sherlock Holmes type man but the other dragon definitely needs some air brushing.  I read To the Devil a Daughter under the bedclothes when I was about ten and it was a terrify but fascinate experience.   Love this thread, thanks for reviving it.

You are all wrong, these Moorcock covers are EPIC. I have most of them and have to resist the temptation to buy them again and again...  ;D

Glen Cook had some bad covers. The classic Black Company cover is good in concept (ominous figure in black, etc), but actually terrible when you look too closely (Darth Vader?).  Also, this:

Luckily the new covers by Raymond Swanland are the BEST THING EVER. Will have to buy all the books...

The Christopher Rowley is from the Bazil Broketail series, and having read one of those, it does kind of make sense. Still a naff cover, though.

Who is this person who makes all the covers for every fantasy book released in this decade? You know, the one who always uses photos of people in costume posing for the camera.

Is there only one person who makes all covers, or did everyone agree to only make a single, very specific type of covers anymore?

I think it's just a computer program.  ;)

Larry Rostant does a lot of those, but I find him really good. Costumes are used a lot for historicals. The cover of the upcoming Of Noble Family by Mary Robinette Kowal is definitely a one off, because the author herself made the dress.

Presume I'm fine bumping this, if not move me or kill me as appropriate :D

It's worth a bump however for the new American editions of Robin Hobb's Tawny Man Trilogy.

There are no words that these covers exist in 2015, a GRRM quote doesn't help guys!

Wow. I've seen the middle one before, but the others are even worse. What were they thinking?  :o
