I miss Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson books!  Though did you alter the titles or is there a website that does this?

Today I was mostly discussing titles for my new novel with my editor. Where the hell were you when I needed you?

Philip Jose Farmer didn't write either of those, did he? Putting his Riverworld work aside, he tended to 'explore' some 'interesting' themes and A Feast Unknown was actually published by a publisher that specialised in erotica, obviously not realising exactly what genre it was.
I will expand your TBR pile.

They're altered? Well, that explains more than it doesn't. Couldn't believe them to be real but was too lazy to google... Thanks. :)

I found this truly scary covered book (havent read it yet so I dont know if it is actually that wierd) on my bookshelf today...I think I was given it years ago by one of my older cousins and was put off by the cover!!!

It's not fantasy though, it's sci-fi, but still hideous nonetheless.

It's quite clearly Mat, the Ashendarai spear should be a dead giveaway.

Has anyone seen the movie Gentlemen Broncos? I watched it last night and the opening credits reminded me of this thread. Very funny movie by the way.

I'm just going to link to this, as it's probably NSFW: http://www.dangerousminds.net/comments/outerspace_sex_orgy_the_first_sex_science_fiction

As you may be able to tell from the title :D

Ofc the first question in my mind was 'Where the heck are they keeping their air? And why is the alien wearing tinsel?'

Ofc the first question in my mind was 'Where the heck are they keeping their air? And why is the alien wearing tinsel?'

My first reaction was, "that's not outer space, her breasts are showing clear signs of gravity!"

My second reaction was, "WHAT THEY NEED PRESSURIZED SUITS THEIR BLOOD IS GOING TO BOIL OUT OF THEIR SKIN OR SOMETHING, WHAT THIS IS NOT SEXY!"

This comment was brought to by too many documentaries on space when I was a small, impressionable child.

Unless, of course, they're on a planet with normal pressure but a poisonous atmosphere.

Then they wouldn't be in outer space! They'd be on another planet.

...am I the only one disturbed that it's an "illustrated edition"? Why is that necessary!?

The return of an old classic thanks to the output of a POD outfit called Tutis Digital Publishing. Like a thousand other operations, most of their catalogue seems to be books taken from Project Gutenberg and other online public-domain text depositories, dumped into a Microsoft Word template, and then slapped between covers featuring a bit of cheap or free stock art.

http://causticcovercritic.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Tutis%20bashing

Classics include:

A literal take on Turn of the Screw

Space marines in Jack London novels

Bikes on Treasure Island

John Adams on Easter Island

Sherlock Holmes in Space

And the last just left me speechless
