Sweat is OK in moderation and in a warm climate. Clammy cold sweats or red-faced-and-sweating-buckets, not so much.

Quick, someone post a dreadful cover and get us back on topic. Please.

How about a sneezing Minotaur?

My tongue has been in my cheek for so long, I've eroded a new mouth.

Cos nothing says Sci Fi like a sheep
...

Tell that to Dolly the sheep! ;)

Or electric sheep, of course.

I remember reading Day of the Minotaur back in the 70s - I may still have it somewhere.  I seem to recall it being a good read, but I'd agree about the cover.

Never mind the cover, I think "Bumsider" is a serious contender for worst title ever...  I'd be tempted to buy "Let's Do It in my Spaceship Tower" though ;)

and here, not objecting to the cyborg feline, more to the fact he is staring pensively into the distance.... what is he contemplating?  How much simpler life was when he simply chased mice rather than blowing them up with his firearms?

That's not so much a terrible cover as an appalling title/anthology concept. Fantasy erotica with added gambling???

Overlord will be pissed with you.  That's going to be the concept of the Fantasy Faction anthology.

So Autumn2May has set the new writing challenge already for February, write a story about what happens when a giant penis lassoes the Earth with a rainbow:

And please give it your best shot as this is a genuine fear that keeps many of us up till late at night worrying about it

Though clearly the two giant pieces of chalk that are orchestrating the whole thing is a stretch of the imagination too far!

I think you have far too much free time my friend. XD  Also my husband said that your idea would be an awesome topic for the writing challenge, after which I hit him. ;D

Found a really ugly book cover too! A nearly antique one, you can say. It's the first translation into German from Raymond Feist's Magician:Apprentice (Riftwar) from the late Eighties.
It's even more ugly if you know the book (I guess most of you do) and I have no idea why they used a cover like this. Luckily the next edition(s) got really cool covers...

And for such a great book, you have to wonder if the people who marketed it had actually read it.
I will expand your TBR pile.

It's not Pug, it's Toyah. As for why she has a tarot card? It's a mystery.
