Mine seems to be Tor.
Does penguin come out top for anyone?
Have you got ten orbit books to every Gollancz you own?
-
I think Orbit is the number one for me, followed by Tor. (all the Tors I have are Brandon Sanderson's books, haha)
-
You made me go look and analyse! :P
It seems my top 5 are:
- Gollancz (57)
- Harper Voyager (54)
- Orbit (42)
- Corgi (23)
- Independents/self-publishing (18)
then everything is quite spread out, especially the older books

There's a publisher called Corgi? Now that's cute and interesting. :D
-
All my books are mixed up after moving. Counting all those books and publishers will probably take a month ;D
-
Interesting question! I will have to look when I'm downstairs. My prediction is that I'll have a weight of Orbit and HarperVoyager (the Australian fantasy imprint) but it might have swung elsewhere recently.
From memory, Corgi used to publish Terry Pratchett? (So that'll have a few on my shelves too!)

Yep, that's the one/why I have so many ;D
-
I have no idea. I've never even thought about it.

And here's how we see the difference between those obssessed with cataloguing and tracking their books and normal people ;D
-
Tor is my largest by far.
-
Probably Orbit, though that is skewed by long series Like Shannara and Wheel of Time.
Tor and Gollancz are fairly close behind.
Harper Voyager has a fair few. As does Titan.
Also got substantial shelves of Black Library and Wizards of the Coast.

Finally got reminded of this while actually downstairs so I went and did a quick census of my bookshelves. Some observations:
- I think Corgi probably wins by number of books just because we have a complete Corgi Discworld set, and also my Belgariad/Mallorean sets are Corgi, so that's... a few books.
- Orbit wins by number of authors: Daniel Abraham, Melissa Caruso, Amanda Downum, Kate Griffin, NK Jemisin, JV Jones, Robert Jordan, KJ Parker.
- Lots of Harper/Voyager as well, since that was all of the big Australian names - Sara Douglass, Jennifer Fallon, Trudi Canavan, Glenda Larke - and also George Martin and the other half of my Eddings.
- There's a growing population of American-market books on my shelves - chiefly from Tor/Tor.com and Saga Press. Exciting stuff from those houses in recent times.
- My GGKay collection is all over the place in terms of publishers! I don't have all his books, but I think there are seven different houses/imprints represented!
-
From a very quick check, my main publisher is also Corgi with around 65 (mainly Pratchett, Eddings and Gemmell). Then there's around 25 each for Grafton (lots of old titles), Gollancz and also Hodder (those ones are all Stephen King).
