I loved the first trilogy of Thomas Covenant. It was very imaginative with a great premise. Many people pull back from the book because we’re asked to not only identify with a flawed hero but one responsible for a truly heinous act.  It the trilogy is based on redemption, and I really bought into it. Meanwhile there are many wonders and great side characters. I recommend it.

Hell no. I found it so depressing to read. It's like the protagonist just moves from one suffering to another and the book is one eternal sob story.

Well written book, but the content puts me off big time.

You got me with flawed hero, heinous act and protagonist moving from suffering to another.

I hated it. I don't mind a reluctant hero, but this series has a whining, crying, bitching, and moaning protagonist. It was an endless stream of, "Why me? I don't want to do this. Oh, woe is me."

I loved it. But one trilogy was enough. I did read the second trilogy back in the day, but remember only that it took away from the first.

I’ve read the first book 3 times, never got anything out of it, and have never wanted to read the rest of them.
I will expand your TBR pile.
