Finished Mr Shivers, and while it wasn't without its faults, it was oddly compelling. Ending was superb and made up for the rest of the book going nowhere. Thinking I'll have a meandering review for this one. Still, excited for more RJB.

Currently reading an excerpt for review. When the Heavens Fall by Marc Turner. Said to be Victorian Lovecraft, and man am I eagerly awaiting the full novel.

I am most of the way through Station Eleven. It's quite good.

How many of us are reading or have just finished The Copper Promise? If I count myself I think there's 4 of us at present: me, @Jmacyk, @xiagan and @Lady Ty. Is that some sort of a record for something that isn't a book club read?

I'm working my way through Brian McClellan's Powder Mage shorts, and I'm finding them every bit as entertaining as the novels. McClellan is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors.

The word is spreading that it's fun and fast - and @sennydreadful has been posting here for a long time, so she's a special FF author 8) - and people write her love letters so we have to find out why....................

On to Precursor by C. J. Cherryh!  The Foreigner series requires a lot of mental chewing, but I like it.

That was so 2014. 2015 is the year of The Iron Ghost movement  ;) (will be buying it next month or so!)

Finished A Betrayal in Winter last night, and will move on to An Autumn War (book #3), as well as get started on Wee Free Men for this month's book club!

How're you finding the Long Price? I loved those books, but so many people seem to find them too slow and/or confusing  :-\

I have really enjoyed the first two books, and I am eager to get into the third. The beginning of the first one did feel slow and a bit confusing, but when things got going it became really enjoyable.

Idaan's character in A Betrayal in Winter was particularly fascinating, and a great example of a feminist character in a fantasy novel, as her struggle was all about being born a woman in a world meant for men. The way the plot worked also felt very satisfying. Let's see if the next two are as good or even better :)
