Did you finish 52 books in 2019?

Yeah. About 5 or so more than that too! So a successful reading year for me.

Let's repeat it for 2020 :)
Kallor shrugged. 'I've walked this land when the T'lan Imass were but children. I've commanded armies a hundred thousand strong. I've spread the fire of my wrath across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones. Do you grasp the meaning of this?'

'Yes' said Caladan Brood. 'You never learn'

I've just started Dune Messiah.
I've done that a couple of times. Never finished it.

I finished Swordspoint a few days ago. It was fine, I guess. It didn't blow me away. Since then I've also read subpar Marple At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie, and am now undecided on what to start next. I think I've narrowed it down to one of Amberlough by Lara Elena Donnelly, Provenance by Ann Leckie or Farthing by Jo Walton. I'll see how I feel later when it's time to make my choice.
I’ll put my 2 cents in here, Dr N. Both Amberlough and Farthing are excellent, but Farthing is extraordinary.
I will expand your TBR pile.

I'm not sure I will now because my kindle just died. I'll try to read it on my computer.

I went with Amberlough just because I bought it this year and I'm trying to pretend I'm reading the new books I buy. I do have the whole Farthing trilogy, though, so I will get to it soon.

I finished City of miracles, the last book in the trilogy.
It was good, and it was a great ending, but my favourites in order are still 2 (despite the Shara hangover hehe), 1 and 3. I don't think I ever got *really* into the story of this one, emotionally involved and all that.
Still, an amazing series that I will definitely start recommending!

I've received Mark Lawrence's Dispel illusion, last book in his latest trilogy too, and I'll start later today. It's short-ish, so I think I'll still finish it this month/year*

(* you're all far too early in summarising the month/year!!)

Finished The Burning White, and with it the Lightbringer series. It was . . . an ending, I suppose. Pretty disappointed with it overall though. I reckon my tastes in fantasy have changed since I started the series, because every little thing bothered me. Kip being utterly annoying, the dialogue feeling too modern, too many things going on at once.

It did wrap most of the series up though, so 3/5 all things considered.

I've just finished reading Darkdawn, my 42nd and last book for this year. It was a really solid ending for a series that had proved to be one hell of an intense page-turning series, and I'm pretty satisfied with how everything rolled out. The prose near the end was a little bit purplish, but the narrator's notes and comments (which had always been my favorite parts of the books) still got me feeling a real sense of book to reader kinship in the end. I have to say, I'll be missing this series.

I’ve just finished Dune Messiah, and I think it’s great once it gets going, somewhere after the first 20–25% of the book. The middle and ending are really good. I love the way Frank Herbert builds empathy and feeling for the characters.

I’m about to start Children of Dune.

I've just started God of Broken Things by Cameron Johnston. It reminded me again of why I liked the first book, Cameron's writing style is just so easy to get into and entertaining.

Ah, I forgot Cam's second book is out too. Will mark is as TBR in GR.

Can't go too long without reading, so starting City of Bones by Martha Wells now.

Finished Thin Air enjoyed it but there is a lot of simularity to other works by the Author.
