Heard only good things for The Thief Who Pulled on Trouble's Braids by Michael McClung. Not like it won any major awards or anything. Might as well give it a shot while I have the free time.

'..all tapes left in a car for more than a fortnight metamorphose into Best of Queen albums....they listened to William Byrd's "We Are the Champions"" and Beethoven's "I Want to Break Free". Neither were as good as Vaughan Williams "Fat-Bottomed Girls".

Chilly's back :D but... is he? Maybe we just imagined it...

As for me, I'm loving the way that all story lines are coming back together in Fool's quest, and it's still early days.

Chilly?
It's very warm here today.
Not sure about this chilly business appearing.  :P

Finished Silent city by Mr. Mathews, Still reading The sea lord, Essex Serpent, Tom Swan and the head of St George, and The Seven. It's all a little confusing at the moment. I am normally a monogamist about such things.

Just finished Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I held off on reading this one for a good while since it had a strong VR focus, and I wanted to finish my own novel involving VR before reading it. That way, I wouldn't feel obligated to pull out anything in my book that mirrored Cline's, since I could say I hadn't read his before writing mine.

Surprisingly, there was only one segment in the book very similar to my own (other than the general state of VR, which I think anyone who's a gamer could come up with) and since I wrote my book before reading his, I don't feel obligated to take it out of my WIP, which is good news. Ready Player One was about as fun as I was expecting, and while I have some crits and things I might have done differently, I was glad not to be disappointed.

It's a fun book and worth reading, for anyone who hasn't. Good stuff!

Dune's turning out better than I'd expected. Heavy going, but it's starting to flow quite nicely now (1/3 of the way through) Hopefully the rest of the book, and the series, keeps up like this.
