I am currently switching back and forth between Kull by Robert Howard and Night Winds by Karl Wagner.
Pretty much more of the same that I've already been reading, but it's the kind of stuff that I like, so that's not a huge problem.

A good selection there of a bunch of books I really want to read and haven't quite got round to yet. Though I'm making December my all fantasy book month for sure. :D

Also some of those covers (i presume american?) are awful compared to the ones here. :/

Which list ^ had a link next to it for this list:

Which has some really interesting books to add to the TBR.

Curse you lists for adding to my heaving TBR list!

So many lists! I need to listen to Franz Liszt while adding more from these lists to my list.

I've read Death Angel's Shadow before and it was pretty good. I also read Bloodstone, which wasn't so great by comparison (though still decent), but I've since heard it's Wagners weakest book. I basically have all the Kane books on my waiting list.

I finished Black Wolves. Highly recommend it, definitely one of the best epic fantasies I've read recently.

I also finished The Flux, I didn't love it as much as the Flex ... oh well.

I started Ancillary Mercy as my audiobook. Still need to pick out my next print book, am thinking maybe Slade House by David Mitchell or Dead Ringers by Christopher Golden.

I have Slade House ready to go as well. But thinking of clearing all my physical books first, and then clearing all those kindle deals which have been sitting on my kindle for a year or so first. So probably after Xmas!

Only one book caught my interest enough to make my TBR list. And it jumped straight to the top. It didn't actually come out this year though.
Vicious by V.E. Schwab! Since I'm unable to read comics, I jump at books like this. Unfortunately, I haven't discovered that many. Probably The Reckoners by Brandon Sanderson was my first experience with unfranchized superheroes, and that series is awesome! So, naturally, Vicious jumped to the top of my list, right after I'm done with Republic of Thieves.
One thing I didn't quite understand. Is Vicious a stand alone? Or is it apart of a series. Because a series would be amazing! Well, assuming I like Vicious that is. I'm hoping with all my heart I will.

I'm not sure if there are more Vicious books planned, since the success of A Darker Shade of Magic there's a sequel to that coming out next year, so I imagine Victoria Schwab is working on that.

It was originally released as a stand alone, but with her latest book deal, there is a sequel coming:

I've read 11 books from that list and they were all very good. I have 4 more in hand that I still need to read. And some more that I still want to get ahold of. I just need to figure out how to create extra time in my days to keep up :)

And yes, the American covers are notoriously not as nice, I often suffer cover envy when I see the UK covers.

Finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I skimmed a lot. Gave it a 2-star review.

I understood some of the symbolism and what he was trying to do, but some parts just dragged a lot. Was also expecting a much more epic confrontation (of ideas, hearts and minds, not battle) between the opposing sides. Dude was dying on the tree and I simply wasn't caring.

Of course, i did have my favorite quotes, moments and characters, but for me at least, it never had that moment I paused in awe. Well, there was one.

I think i will read the books on that Self Publish blog, intercalating with others.
I actually have A Soul for Trouble by Crista McHugh since last month, because of some comments in this thread, but wanted to see how book clubs worked and American Gods was the pick.
Slow and steady wins the race.

At present I think it's standalone, she does have another series, though. Totally different. That's called A Darker Shade of Magic and is also quite good. I agree with you about Vicious. If you haven't read them I'd suggest checking out Chuck Wendig's Miriam Black books, they have the same feel as Vicious did.
I will expand your TBR pile.
