Oh, I finally finished The Iron Goat.
That's Jen's brand new book ;D Requires very strong jaws ;D

Oh bugger. Ghost. Ghost. Iron ghost. As in holy ghost not holy goat!

Haaa! You're not the first person to call it that.  ;) Half tempted to sneak an iron goat in the third book somewhere.

If your book was a video game, The Iron Goat would be a great name for a rather boring DLC which removed all the gore.

(That crossed my mind, and while 90% of my brain thought it shouldn't have been brought to light, I went with those idiotic 10%. Sorry.)

Or it would be an excellent name for a giant war hammer!

Right, that's the next thing I'm crafting in Dragon Age: Inquisition then  ;D

Finished The Shadow Of What Was Lost, it was pretty good but quite confusing at times. There were so many layers of things happening at once that it could get a little hard to follow, probably because you don't know everything until the end of the series. A few of the secondary characters blurred together as well, had a hard time remembering who was who. Still recommended though, particularly for people who like Malazan.
I wish the world was flat like the old days, then I could travel just by folding a map.

You have to love autocorrect. Hey, if George Martin can do stuff like that in ASoIaF, you can do it in your 3rd book.

Please include a goat, even if it's not iron, we need a true-origin-secret to pass to our heirs ;)

I've decided to have a month off reading SF&F, so I can catch up on some other genres. I've had a number of SF/F related reading challenges for the last couple of years, and have been neglecting other areas. I'm not sure it wouldn't be smart to stop coming here, so I don't spend too much time being reminded what I'm missing. Let's see how far I can get into April before I crave a hit. :)

Yesterday I started Rebecca Levene's Smiler's fair.
It looks like it's going to be a fabulous read, the first few chapters set the scene and the main characters in a really great way: I can't wait to read more :)

Just finished Prince of Thorns (Thank you Mark) and about to start The Copper Promise and it feels very strange that I get to share that with both authors in this thread.

I really like the idea that we get our own secret goat in a book.

Do we get to name it? Because I wouldn't trust us. It'll probably end up with the name Mathias.
