I've just started Ancillary Justice, only 50 pages in, and I had to drag myself away from the coffee shop or else I would have been there all afternoon reading (not that there's anything wrong with that  :) )

You should check out our book club discussions for this. It was a very interesting one for a book club read, and there are several other people reading this month that are planning on discussing in the old threads. Feel free to join in or add any comments. It was a very different book, really enjoyed it.

I porbably will drop into the discussion threads when I've read a bit more, I don't want to spoil things, and ti seems to be a book that's got lots to talk about - and it'll take Elfy a bit to get to it (I've got to finish it first of course  ;))

Each weekly discussion has the chapters listed in the subject line, so you can know how far to read to avoid spoilers. Also, there is a First Impressions thread that is completely spoiler free.  :) http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/(nov-2013)-ancillary-justice/

I quit on The Blinding Knife. I just finished The Grim Company and now I am working on Traitors Blade by Sebastien de Castell.

I am enjoying it so far. A little bit Three Musketeers with a touch of Anthony Ryans Blood Song.

Just finished Empire in Black and Gold -- well-built unique world, fleet action sequences, interesting tech.  Definitely will be reading the second volume.

And now one story into Moriarty: The Hound of the D'Urbervilles, by Kim Newman.  Great voice on Sebastian Moran, but not much depth yet.  We'll see.

I am currently reading War of the Worlds.

I am currently going through all the books on my bookshelf. In the past 3 weeks I have read- Druids a brief history (None-Fiction) Witch Wraith by Terry Brooks, Game of Thrones G.R. Martin, Empress by Karen Miller and today I finished reading One Hundred years of solitude. #

Some of these books I had already started and needed to finish. :)

Just started River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay. It is, as expected, beautiful.

I'm very similar with sci-fi, it and I generally don't play well together, but I loved Ready Player One, it's not your typical sci-fi, so I hope it works for you.
I will expand your TBR pile.

Finished Crimson Campaign. Currently reading Irenicon and really enjoying it, kind of surprised I haven't heard more talk about it (but I haven't finished yet, so we'll see how it goes). Just picked up the audiobook of The Three, going to start listening to that soon (really looking forward to it).

I think The Three will be a really challenging book to listen to - it's made up of fragments of diary entries, blog posts, Tweets, interview transcripts, IM chats and loads more besides - no idea how they will manage to get that across smoothly in audio form. Let me know how you get on because it is a stunning book.

Been a VERY long time since I've been here. Just got back in to reading recently with Promise of Blood and then Crimson Campaign by Brian McClellan, Great books, but currently I am reading Fade to Black by Francis Knight.
