Since the Terry Brooks' books I've read Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson (very good), Nights of Villjamur by Mark Charan Newton (also very good).  Today I finished Trudi Canavan's the Magician's Apprentice, which will definately not be a re-read - very slow, not much action and pretty dull.  I thought it would add to the Black Magician Trilogy, but I could easily have not read it, as I didn't think it added much to the plot of those books.   ::)

Tonight I'll be starting the second WoT book, the Great Hunt, which I am looking forward to.   ;D

I have a bad habit of having 5+ books open at a time, and switching between them when one starts dragging.  Often times, this ends up with me not finishing a bunch of books.  I'm working on finishing all the ones I've started right now.  It's really hard to stop myself from starting new ones, but I'll manage... hopefully.

The open list: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, The Name of the Wind, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Hooked, The Forest for the Trees, On Writing, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, A Clockwork Orange, The Fire of Fiction, All the President's Men, and Collapse.

Some of those books I may never finish.  Like A Clockwork Orange and HP.  I'm working down the rest of the list, though.

Finished Lily of the Nile by Stephanie Dray yesterday.
Currently working on The Red Wolf Conspiracy by Robert V. S. Redick and I've started re-reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss in preparation for the release of Wise Man's Fear on March 1st.  Oh, and S. Morgenstern's The Princess Bride, just to lighten things up a bit ;)  (I have a short attention span lol)

They seem really popular, I will check them out at some point... My head is spinning with what I am currently planning to read before University gets all intense again!!! I try not to go too crazy during University time because otherwise I will end up answering the questions wrong and crossing things over:

Who ruled the Roman Empire in 34BC:
"Frodo Baggins... ah crap... erm... Godking Usalah? Aghhh...." ;)

34BC?  Hmmm…Antony, if I'm not mistaken.  Although I could be wrong.

As for what I'm reading, I picked up Johannes Cabal the Necromancer on a whim and cannot wait to go back to it.  The premise is so outrageously silly, but the writing matches the wit I expected.

Technically it was no one because they didn't have rulers as such... when Caeser made himself ruler it was literally for about 5 minutes before he got stabbed for it. Romans hated the idea of one person having overall power. Anthony shared the rule of the Roman Empire with Octavian (around 34BC so very good!) before he killed himself in 30BC... Too many civil wars to even begin going further into it than that... ;)

Sounds pretty cool - I love Necromancers, but I suppose the definition of what a Necromancer is changes a lot as per author and so on

Still reading Way of Kings, I've had a couple of book group interruptions to slow me down and managed nothing whatsoever over Christmas.

On my to read list, I've got the 2nd Malazan book and the new Thomas Covenant hardback. after that the world is my mollusc.

I've just finished Kushiel's Avatar by Jacqueline Carey, so that's one trilogy of hers complete. Next on the list is possibly the Tide Knot by Helen Dunmore, I read Ingo a while ago and The Tide Knot is due back in the library tomorrow, I'll see how much time I get to read today and if I can be bothered renewing it. Other than that I'm moving on to Mistborn book 1 for the book club :)

Just finished Erikson's Dust of Dreams, book 9 in the Malazan series, along with Brandon Sanderson's The Final Empire. I was going to start a re-read of another series while I waited to re-read The Name of the Wind, and then I found some mentions on this site about Brent Weeks Night Angel Trilogy. I started Way of Shadows a couple days ago and I'm already 4/5ths of the way done. It's a dark, but very very good book.

What I should be (and some point have to be) reading:
-Fundamentals of Hydrology
-Statistical Research Methods
-Macroeconomics: Canada in the Global Context
-Anthropology: The Human Condition

I'm sure you can see why Brent Weeks work has distracted me....  :P

meh, he was the named Imperii.  And Gauis Julius was actually emperor for a bit more than five minutes.   ;D And there were a couple of emperors who held on for quite a bit there….the triumvirate and Caesar/Augustus hooey not withstanding.  (hey, this is stuff I know….)
