Started Neil Gaiman's Stardust (version beautifully illustrated by Charles Vess) last night. Really good - starts like a very old timey fairy tale, and makes me want to read it aloud to a young child. Also, I've never seen the film, so have no idea what it's all about  ;D

I also read the book before watching the film, I think it's the best way.
And I felt the same, it's a lovely story :D

I've got about 120 pages left of Midnight Tides: I do want to read more each day, but I'm too tired :(
Definitely finishing this weekend!

About a 100 pages into The Feed by Nick Windo Clark. This a beautifully written book. while I am a fan of dystopian futures this one leaves me without much hope a damn scary book.

Finally got around to reading "Mistborn," and finished it. Now I'm reading "Well of Ascension," about 14 chapters in, and I can't help but feel it's missing something.

Well of Ascension is a tad bit slow in my opinion (and I'm a total Sanderson fanboy), but the excitement of the last 100 pages make up for the entire book.

I've started Steelheart, and as expected of Brandon Sanderson, it's really amazing. Although, if there's anything to complain, Mega is definitely one of the worst and most irritating character I've come across in fantasy. I had to skip over her parts every time otherwise I'd probably threw the book across the room. Also the plot does feel 'quite' similar to the Mistborn the Final Empire. Still a totally amazing read, though.  :D

The Hod King.

Such a different series and I love it so much. Bancroft's voice is a delight.

Finished Steelheart (Reckoners #1). Since the plot was quite similar to the first Mistborn book, I'm quite glad that it didn't turned out to be as dark. Also love the humans taking out supervillains subplot, it's definitely growing to become one of my favorites.

Edit: Just noticed that I finished Steelheart in like what, 4 days? I did devoured it quickly.  ;D

I finished The Black Prince by Adam Roberts. Sometimes you read a bit of historical fiction and realise that grimdark is still kind of underplaying it. Good book though.

I also read Dead Man's Folly by Agatha Christie over the weekend, which was a serviceable Poirot.

Next up I've gone for another short book in an attempt to shore up my figures for February, The Grey King by Susan Cooper (Dark is Rising #4). It would be nice to get this series finished this year. And I've only just realised that I've gone from the black prince to the grey king.

after a Marathon session I have finished The Winter Road. A gripping, intense read in Adrian Selby's incredible world. Another 5* read.

I'm currently reading The Gutter Prayer, and finding it does live up to the hype.
