Read up to 100 pages , does it get better to those who have read the novel?
To me this feel like a YA romance with the heroine thief lusting after the hot handsome Djinn with a trek that is seeming to take ages to get to the city.
Tell me there won’t be a love triangle.
I prefer the sub plot with the prince in the Djinn city.

I loved the trilogy in the end
@ScarletBea
I wasn’t sure to start off with glad I stuck with the story.
I had concerns with the romantic angle but I think the trilogy was stronger for having it in the end.
First book had a slow start for me but when I got into it I loved the trilogy with the political aspect.
City of Brass 3/5
The kingdom of copper 5/5
The Empire of Gold 4/5

I'll buy this soon-ish.
I was actually just checking if my library's got the books, and they have books 2 and 3 as a paper copy, but not 1, which is only available as ebook... strange!

After a good start it lags a bit towards the middle and ends with a smashing climax. Brilliant world building and superb characters!
