Speaking as someone who also doesn't read SF, I suggest you read Skyward (Brandon Sanderson), which I found to be a mixture of fantasy and action movie, in space hehe

Another non-Sci-Fi reader here.

Still, I want to add Leviathan Wakes by S. A. Corey as one of my valuable friends suggested that book to me :)
