I'll read just about anything but chick lit, romance, or horror.  So that pretty much rules out my ever reading Twilight (although I did try; I made it through about four pages...).   Thrillers, mysteries, sci-fi, classics, YA... if the plot looks intriguing (and, admittedly, if there's a handsome hero involved), I'll give it a try.  :)

Mystery and thrillers mostly. And recently, sci fi.

Mostly nonfiction these days.  Otherwise, generally fantasy, mystery, some sci-fi, but mostly nonfiction.

I continue to steadfastly refuse to read any book with a half-clad/leather-clad young woman on the front, looking back at me over her shoulder. Otherwise, I'll read pretty much anything. Except Ann Coulter. Or Rush Limbaugh. Or Glenn Beck. Mostly because I won't give them the money...and my blood pressure goes up.

I've been reading a lot of true crime lately, for some reason.  I tend to read in spurts when it comes to genre--I may read 3 or 4 fantasy novels in a row, then switch it up to something like true crime.  I read just about anything, as long as I can get into the characters.  I definitely read for character more than anything else.
