Brandon Sanderson and Adrian Tchaikovsky are the two I hunt down new books avidly for. Christopher Ruocchio is one I buy anthologies just for his short stories. To be fair though, most authors I like, I tend to by everything they've written.

This used to be a big list, but now it’s quite small. Joe Abercrombie is on it, as is Grady Hendrix and Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant, although I didn’t bother with the final book in Mira’s Symbiont trilogy.
I will expand your TBR pile.

Mark Lawrence, Joe Abercrombie & Ben Aaronvitch I tend to buy everything on release date in hardback.

Seanan yes, but Mira no, I think.  Unless she does another mermaid book.

I’m surprised that Catherynne Valente isn’t in the list for you too.

For me, both my Must Buy Immediately, Trample People to Get a Copy have died, so there will be no more works from them  :'(
They were Terry Pratchett & Anne McCaffrey.

Otherwise, the others are Elizabeth Chadwick & Sharon Penman.  Although, I can be patient with them as I’ve built up a few I haven’t read yet.  Product of reading a lot less in general, and also taking 5 years to read Lionheart.  It was a very well travelled book as it only got read on holidays for some reason.  The sequel has been eyeing me reproachfully when I go in the library & pick something that isn’t it to read  ;D

I love Cat, but thinking about it, she's not a must buy, dependent on the subject material.
