The really worrying thing about Tyra Banks book is that if it's successful and her name may do that she may write another one. It's called Modelland, I read an excerpt online somewhere (I think Pat from Pat's Fantasy Hotlist posted it as a bit of a joke), it's every bit as awful as you would expect.

Can we add a category for hero of the year and nominate the brilliant Warwick Davis?

Okay, here's my two cents:

-Best Book of 2011
The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. I have had a man-crush on the guy since the first time I picked up The Blade Itself, and that has only solidified after reading this novel. As much as I loved The First Law, The Heroes might just be Abercrombie's best book till date. Inspite of that, this was actually a tough choice for me, as 2011 was the year I finally read A Song of Ice and Fire. As brilliant as the first three books in that series were (I was quite disappointed in AFFC and ADWD), in the end Abercrombie took it for me.

-Best Début of 2011
Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence by default. I don't recall reading any other debutantes in the year.

-Best Author Blog of 2011
Joe Abercrombie, again by default, as his is pretty much the only one I follow somewhat regularly.

-Best Twitter Follower of 2011
Brandon Sanderson. My third straight default choice. Yeah, I know. I'm boring.

-Best Fantasy Game of 2011
I haven't even played it yet, but I'm gonna go ahead and say The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I thought Oblivion was addictive, and this should be as good, if not better, in every facet.

-Best News of 2011
The fact that Abercrombie is working on Red Country, and it could possible come out in 2012. Woohoo!

-Worst News of 2011
Hmmm... Hard to say. Don't recall any particularly horrible news in the year.

Spoke to Joe just a few months back and he said September looks likely :)

Once again - woohoo!

I better get on with my reading goals till then, because I'm pretty darn sure I will drop whatever the heck I'm reading when Red Country releases.

Best Book of 2011 - My Best Overall Fantasy novel of 2011 would have to be The Dragon's Path by Daniel Abraham.
-Best Début of 2011 - Best Fantasy Début of 2011 would be Among Thieves by Douglas Hulick
-Best Fantasy Game of 2011 - SKYRIM.
-Best News of 2011 - The Hobbit Trailer for 2012.
