1 week! :D

I just think I'm going to be surrounded by people I don't know, apart from Marc :-\ who are the close to 100 going if they don't post??

The forum is just a fraction of the number of people that read the main site. :) And even with the forum, there are people that just read and not post (I used to be that way).

I've heard the other ones were lots of fun. Enjoy it enough for yourself, and all of us that can't logistically make it! :) You figure everyone there has great taste in books!

Oh, ok Arry :)
(they're missing out on a great place, though, hehe)
I'm just not very comfortable in big groups of strangers

You will still know one more person than me.

 I booked...

Yay, one person! And Rostum, I've never really met Marc - I meant from the forum and it's one face I will definitely recognise :D

I booked the Ibis near temple meads Current rates as of now £61 no breakfast no refund. http://www.ibis.com/gb/booking/rates.shtml?packId=24891762749 The price is for the room not per person. This is a 10 minute walk from Waterstones.

Should anyone be heading in by train who doesn't know Bristol I am happy to meet up beforehand and guide you to the event. Feel free to drop me an email
I'm also at the Ibis. And I don't know anyone else either!

So we're all in the same inevitably sinking ship together! Hurray!!  ;D

I am not sure when I will escape from work and get across town but I would plan to collect anyone who requires it and eat (not necessarily in that order) before the gathering starts.
Again for those who are at the Ibis send me an email and I will reply with a mobile number if you care to meet up before heading to the event. That way we can awkward strangers in a small group before being so in a much bigger one.

:D I'll try to take a couple of the writers, but I prefer to pay attention to things than to see them through a screen (after all, that's why I'm there, hehe)

Sorry, don't do selfies - I think it's for people who don't have friends to ask to take a photo (have you looked how everybody looks awful in a selfie? really? :P it's all that close up, always better to ask someone else!)
And I don't post my photo online, hehe - although I can tell you I look a lot like my avatar. Minus being green. And having arms and legs ;D

Ohmygawd ohmygawd ohmygawd!
I just had the BEST night of my life in a number of years :D :D :D

I'm trying very hard not to make you jealous, but I think I'm failing miserably at that...

Everyone was so great! And I won one of the uncorrected proof copies of the Skull throne, Marc gave it to me just as I was talking with Pete and he was signing my diary because I didn't have his books :D
Mark Lawrence is super nice, we had great chats.
Peter Newman, who I heard about for the first time here, was a super person too.
And now I'll just shut up, having gushed enough and embarrassed myself enough :-[

Tomorrow the breakfast, with a bunch of great people from F-F (although they don't know what they're missing not being on the forum ;))

How am I going to sleep on this high? Read now, then ;D

Glad everyone's having an ohmygawdohmygawd kind of time.  :)
I'm sitting here paying bills.  :P
Listening to an album on which the Duke Ellington and Count Bassie bands were having a collaboration/battle royale. So there's that.  ;D
