Hey everyone,

As I've been absolutely hounded to start a Fantasy-Faction Facebook Group since the last Grim Gathering, I've finally decided to go for it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/FantasyFaction/

I know some of you don't use Facebook and I know some of you prefer not to use your real life Facebook to discuss your fantasy hobby, but if you'd like to join in over there then we'd love to see you.

Marc.
Founder: http://fantasy-faction.com
Editor: Fantasy-Faction Anthology (Aug 2014)
Author: "Son of…" in 1853 (2013)
Host: Fantasy-Faction's Grim Gathering

Hi Marc (@Overlord for you to come and see hehe), the article says
"...we will have some exclusive Facebook Group activities. These will include interactive author interviews, chances to submit questions for upcoming website interviews, chances to get your hands on F-F hoodies and t-shirts, group discussions on books, and much more!"

 :-\
I hope these things will be available here on the forum too... pretty please?

Just joined the group. I don't do that much on Facebook, though.

I'm glad to have the FB group. This forum is massive and awesome, and I'm just learning how to navigate it and work through those text verification challenges, like I'm deciphering ancient runes. But the FB group has an easy convenience to it that makes it more accessible to those of us less familiar with the forum format.  Still, I plan to pop in to both.  :)

Meanwhile, I was using facebook a long time before discovering F-F forum... and this forum is the only one I've ever participated in. Based on my post count, you wouldn't know I was terrified to start with.  ;D

Haha, I'm from the generation of Facebook and Twitter, and this was my first forum. I've been on a few more here and there, but this (and another) have been the constants.

Also, Facebook group is pretty lively, even if I haven't joined in any discussion.

Yeah, well, early on, someone used some inventory items to reduce my post count from 80 or so to 0...
Never have been certain exactly who did it...  >:(
Bless Arry, she put them back  :D

I just don't get people who prefer FB to forums, for discussion...

(not that I'm on FB anyway)

And Aktu went from evil lord to cute baby-goat: Jmack went the opposite way, from terrified to blabbermouth :D (you know we love you! 8) )

I use Facebook to keep up with family and friends but I pretty much stay away from anything else in there.  For discussions I have always just like going to forums better.

Also, IRC chatrooms were the best.
