Lots of touch adverse people.

My instant reaction to someone leaning into my back and hugging me or putting an arm round my shoulder is to tense up. Not anything I can control but it upsets people who then read my body language as hostile to their actions. I would like not to be like that but I have to be aware of any touch not to do so unless I know the person well and am very comfortable around them.

What would be the best one for me? None of them. I have class every single day that is up there, ugh. Disregard the plane fare and jump across the pond.

Wait.
The sign behind those people says "USA."
But there's clearly a European among them.

Unless he is Canadian or one of those French speaking Texans, Louisiana French or just putting on an accent and taking the piss out of Europeans and the unmanly (American Perspective) way of hugging and kissing.

I got swept up and kissed on both cheeks by an American Engineer years back. He had been working at Grenoble then came to Bristol to look over some work we were doing and of course those helpfull Frenchmen had explained that the English were totally unreserved about formal greetings and were not at all subtle like our French counterparts. The Audit he performed was very favourable to us, in part I think because he was worried about a sexual harrassment case being taken to HR.

Venue letting me know on the weekend - I'm having to negotiate hard to get somewhere free on a Saturday in the middle of the day in Spring. I will give you all as much notice as possible, I know you've got to plan ahead as far as possible ^_^

From the first post it was Bristol/Swindon/Bath. Bath is the likely venue from further conversation.
