Post by: Rostum on August 29, 2015, 11:25:03 PM
Mark has published a number of short stories that can be found on his website(s) but this one has really moved me as it is damn near perfect. Read it on the web get it free for kindle on Amazon, but read it.

That was lovely, Rostum. Really lovely story and writing.

Thanks for letting us know it's out there.
On U.S. Kindle right now, it's a free short.

Yes, yes, yes!

I remember to have mentioned this story in the 'Currently reading' thread when I finished it, but it fully deserves its own thread.

The amount of emotion packed into a short-story, and the lasting resonance it has on the reader, make this one of the best things I've ever read. I was a wreck by the end of it, during my first read, but it is still capable of making me incredibly emotional, unlike any other book/story.

So yeah, this:

He's a strong writer in virtually every type of writing. If you look at his poetry, I personally really like Sea Song.

Thanks. I think it might be the best 2000 words I've written. It certainly hits a lot of people in the feels. A hard write too.
