New book by Duncan M Hamilton "The Wolf of the North" is out on Kindle at £0.99 (or I believe $0.99 in the US). Well worth seeking out whether you have read his previous books or not. A shift to a northern (clue is in the title) facet of his world. Reminded me strongly of David Gemmell's Rigante series, which for me is a welcome reminder of my misspent (i.e. reading fantasy books and playing Championship Manager) teenage years! I enjoyed the change in setting and the overall feel of the book. Some very Gemmellesque (that's a word right?) themes of enforced coming of age, anger, betrayal, calming effects of love etc. I am already itching for the continuation of the series.
(as a disclaimer I did have the privilege of reading it as an ARC)
