http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=n%3A341677031%2Cn%3A%21425595031%2Cn%3A%21425597031%2Cn%3A5400977031&ie=UTF8&qid=1444991452&ajr=0

Huge price cuts on almost Gollancz's entire contemporary range, Luna, House of Shattered Wings and Sanderson, Abercrombie, Joe Hill, Rothfuss all inc.

Pretty sure it's UK only.

There are over 50 Kindle Daily Deals in the UK today (16th October 2015), mostly SF&F (from Gollancz, I think), all £1.99, including:

Mistborn: Final Empire - Brandon Sanderson
All 6 First Law books - Joe Abercrombie
Retribution Falls - Chris Wooding
House of Shattered Wings - Aliette de Bodard
Son of the Morning - Mark Alder
Boy with the Porcelain Blade - Den Patrick

etc, etc.

Some real good ones on Kindle today by men and women SFF writers (often only the high selling male authors I've noticed), so this is very cool :-)

Think this needs to be moved to Book Bargains in the first section.

Good Spot. Tales of Ketty jay and boy with the porcelain blade added to the kindle TBR.

And yea this is far too tempting to pass up. My kindle is already teeming with stuff I haven't read yet. :(

Not a problem and it seems to be well under discussion in that section anyway.

Now here's my privileged problem, I've wanted to read Gospel of Loki and Bete in that sale but the covers are so pretty I sort of wanted physical versions and can't afford to get digital and physical of both so...

I have a "fake" UK Amazon account, used the address of a London hotel I found on Google.  With the VPN it's worked everytime although I have had the occasional credit card authorization runaround.

I went for Mistborn: Final Empire - Brandon Sanderson, I have read it before but it was ages ago from the library and never got round to reading the sequels.

Also had  In Dark Service (Far Called Trilogy #1) by Stephen Hunt

I've never read any Sanderson (a potential sacrilege on this forum really) and thought I might try Mistborn, but I can't really afford to buy any more...also my library has books in the Mistborn series, but not books 1 or 2! Rather frustrating.

hrm.  that's starting to smell suspiciously like 'effort'.  more effort than the current $5 premium is worth.  more effort than simply waiting until i'm ready to dig it out of my tbr pile, just in case they figure out dropping the price by half has three times the sellthrough.

meh.  waiting.
