  • EDIT: How did you guys get the pics to display on this page?  Mine are just showing up as links. ???

Right click on the image you want to hotlink and select 'view image', then copy and paste the image only link (which in the case of link#2 for example, is http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_570xN.158930780.jpg) then add that link inside an (img) (/img) (except with proper bracketing) tag. So that...

    Becomes...

Hotlinking is generally frowned upon by smaller websites though, so in those cases save the image, upload it to an image host such as image shack and then hotlink it from there. I think Etsy is big enough not to mind, but the creator would most likely appreciate a link to the purchase page as well in those cases. ;)

Thank you! :)  I knew there had to be a way to do it. :)

  • Reminds me a lot of the cover for Spellforce, which is awesome by the way ;)

Overlord it is the cover for Spellforce :D Just a slightly different perspective ;) By the way I like it also, it just has something in it :D The border between good and evil is drawn in a great way ^^
Oh and somebody who doesn't like that kind of drawings should go to the one who drew it not to the one who posts it on-line ^^ Not that I have something against drawing more realistic pictures and people but sometimes it is a good difference to see something like that once in a while :P

EDIT: Forgot to add one thing :D A lot of that kind of drawings is drawn by women themselves so no need to criticize man who post such pictures.

  • Had to go to my DeviantArt account and look up the fantasy images that I've favorited for this...

If you like Dragon Age, I definitely recommend Aimo's art. Her art is kind of amazing, and she has a DA fan comic that she's been doing for a quite a while, now. Some of her art is explicit; you've been warned. :P

For the WoW fans among us. A an awesome photo manipulation, featuring a pretty hot Death Knight.

A comissioned cover for Terry Goodkind's 'Confessor'. Kind of amazing. The artist also did the cover for "The Windup Girl".

I hope you guys enjoy my contributions! :D

Thanks for the "how to". I couldn't figure out how to get my own illos to post ... lol.

I also want to thank you for mentioning giving the artist credit and links. It's a hot topic in the commercial art world right now. Copyright infringement runs rampant, and that includes just copy/pasting or saving and re-showing someone else's work without their permission. Not even a link to the sales page is legal, but most artists don't mind too much if the artist gets credit with a link to the website of said artist.

Having just learned how to do it, I'll go try it on my art thread rather than hijacking this one ... lol.

  • Jankolas on Deviant Art does lovely pictures. (I look specifically for Tolkien fanart, or images that remind me of characters.)
