That Desert Dragon is beautiful - needs a name and a story sometime. ;)

@Nora thanks, they are glorious. I grumble about dragons being cute in books, but these are a whole different ball game. They could live with me anyday. Especially ones who can grow mushrooms or cast wizard spells. ;D ;D ;D

Time to wake my allies, they've been asleep too long.

I don't particularly like dragons (I know, revoke my fantasy card) but this is so baroque and delicious and decadent and I LOVE IT.

I want all the stories where dragons are, like... status symbols and manifestations of wealth and power and expressions of personal aesthetic. In short, where your dragon is bling and your dragon gets blinged. Blingdragons. I'm on board.

But is the dragon her bling, or does she decorate the dragon?

These dragons already are. The "dragonfish", "arrow", "Asian Aro", "swordfish", "boneytongue".... The Asian Arrowana, Scleropages formosus. Symbol of wealth the world all over, and highly sought after contraband in the US. Here in NY any Asian Aro could fetch $15k. In Singapore the really exotic ones get $100k+.
