Best Dragon Art?
« on: April 13, 2015, 02:42:35 AM »
I was looking for some dragon art to put together a joke for @Lady Ty, but it didn't quite happen. :)

Instead, here is an awesome dragon picture I found online. No idea whose it is or where it came from. Sorry  :-[

But, awesome dragon!  ;D

This one is cool. I'd totally have it framed and titled "Oops.." http://th03.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/f/2014/144/7/2/joseph__the_ancient__forest_dragon_by_mikeazevedo-d7jlys8.png

This is one of my greatest favorite ever, very realistic, love the work on muscles and the goddam colourwork. Brilliant. Very realistic.

@Jmack and @Nora - Thank you  :D thank you ;D  thank you  8) it may have been intended for a joke but this thread is heaven. I  need some of those dancing ghosts and party balloon emoticons  to show my appreciation ;D

I don't know how to upload pics onto the forum, do I need an app and if so what is the best one?  I had Flickr once but didn't like it.

If you find a picture you like online, just right-click on ti and then select "copy image url" or something similar (the exact words vary with browser).
Then you come here and click on the little MonaLisa button (the third one, after the spoilers) and paste that url inside the img tags that appear.
And then everyone can see the image :)

I tried to photo some of my favourite covers but they don't come out clearly enough, so here are links to some  dragons by Geoff Taylor in Katharine Kerr's Deverry series

and my favourite fantasy artist for dragons Michael Whelan, with covers for Deathwing, Dragon Prince, Dragon's Bane and Dragon Fire.

Wow, that white dragon is so detailed and beautiful, what patience.

Didn't realise at first the Dragon Gate  was a Gaudi piece no wonder its marvellous, envy you having been there Henry. Europe is so packed with everything old and beautiful, or modern and exciting.
