Map

For those interested, I've found a rough sketch of the world. The wiki says it is an 'unofficial map' but I thought it was interesting. I'll put the image itself in a spoiler for those who don't want to see it (and because it's rather large).

Spoiler for Hiden:

Thanks, Justan!

I thought the continent where the Letherii and the Edur live was even farther away from the rest...

I think that map is Adam Whitehead's attempt which he himself says is subject to big changes and is completely non-official - http://thewertzone.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/latest-version-of-malazan-world-map.html

Still seems fairly likely though, and considering the sheer size of the continents, going by length of time it takes to cross part of just Seven Cities (which is only part of that continent) this is an enormous world. Lether is still basically at the other side of the world from the Malazans we know even on this map.

I found a new map. :)

Spoiler for Hiden:
(Tags for size/readability. No spoilers here.)

The reason I searched is a description from the First Collected Tales of Bauchelain and Korbal Broach I don't get.

"West of Theft, the Tithe Strait opens out into the Wastes. A vast stretch of ocean through which naught but the adventurous and the foolhardy dared brave the treacherous, dubious sea-lanes as far as the Red Road of Laughter's End, and from there, onwards to the islands of the Seguleh and the southern coast of Genabackis."
(TfcToBaKB, p.119, Bantam)

They're sailing from Theft (northern peninsula of Korel) west towards the Genabackis and the islands of the Seguleh? Mustn't it be east? Or are all the maps we have mirror inverted?
