Who has read the most book club books?
« on: January 19, 2013, 06:56:15 AM »
Wow, can you believe that we've been running the bookclub for two years now? Anyway, what I was wondering was who has read the most books. I imagine it will be Arry or Hound, but someone might surprise us. Here is a list, mark how many you've read out of 25.

[January] Mistborn = The Final Empire,

[February] Name of the Wind,

[March] The Blade Itself ,

[April] Lies of Locke Lamora,

[May] Feed, [June] Kraken,

[July] Assassin's Apprentice, [August]

Tome of the Undergates,

[September] Nights of Villjamur,

[October] A Shadow in Summer,

[November] Rivers of London,

[December] Among Thieves, [Jan2012] Songs Of The Earth,

[Feb2012] The Darkness That Comes Before ,

[Mar2012] The Quantum Thief ,

[Apr2012] Babylon Steel,

[May2012] Alchemist Of Souls ,

[Jun2012] Blackbirds by Chuck Wendig ,

[Jul2012] The Book of the New Sun ,

[Aug2012] Low Town: The Straight Razor Cure,

[Sep2012] Guards! Guards! ,

[Oct2012] Control Point by Myke Cole ,

[Nov2012] Prince of Thorns ,

[Dec2012] The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack ,

[Jan2013] Fevre Dream by George R. R. Martin ,

[Feb2013] - The Black Company

[Mar2013] - Retribution Falls

Now I feel unworthy. I've only read 16.  :o Am I about to lose Karma now? That's the lowest answer so far. I found this site/book club a little later so most of my missing books are from before I joined. Of the last 11, I've read 10 ... )

My money would have been on Hound until i saw pornokitch's answer! Now it's going to be close I bet.

ETA: Do I get a bonus point for reading Neverwhere for the Remedial Book Club? I imagine not, but it was worth a try :)

I've read almost 20. (Still working my way through The Book of the New Sun).

That is including Retribution Falls because I've already read that, The Black Company, because I will be reading that with the book  club and Fevre Dream because I'm reading that at the moment.

Since I've been a member I've participated in 16/19 book clubs 17 if you count Tome of the Undergates which I bought to read along with the book club but was too shy to post! I've only completely missed 2 since I joined and both of those (Nights of Villjamur and Low Town) I plan to catch up on this year.

I am only on 18/25 actually. :P (Though two of the book clubs haven't started yet in my defense!)

In all fairness, I've read a lot of them, but my participation sucks. I'll join in the actual discussion more!

Is this about having read the book in general or with the book club? There should be a difference.
I've read 19 (including SF book club) but only 12 with the book club (most I've read without are from before I joined).

I've not read The Darkness That Comes Before or Spring-Heeled Jack.
I can't vouch for The Darkness That Comes Before, but despite other people having problems with it I thought The Strange Case of Spring Heeled Jack was one of the better Book Club books.
I will expand your TBR pile.

Quantum Thief's next, though.

I've only managed eight, and none with the book club. That being said, I'm hoping to join in the next two!

Hope you make it! :)

That are both short too, so maybe that will help :)

I missed out Low Town: The Straight Razor Cure as I was too busy at the time but I will go back to it at some point this year. I haven't picked up The Black Company or Retribution Falls yet but intend to read along.

There's 27 if you count Feb 13 and March 13 so I've done 24/27  :)
