(am I really volunteering for something? ::) )
You do seem to be.
I was going to delete that. Now I can't ;D
I'll slip away unnoticed now.....

Coincidence that Bea suddenly has a vacation to be going on?

Also, I'm going to go ahead and pretend this secret moderator sub-forum is just filled with lists on various topics, in which they've carefully and extensively cataloged all of us based on different characteristics.

People keep thinking I made up Atku and his secret domination of the Forum.
Keeping thinking that. It's what we want he wants.

"Beneath the Silver Rose" debuted on Kindle January 1, 2017!

Shadyia, one of the finest of The Silver Rose's courtesans, is hired to seduce a mysterious scholar by a high-ranking member of the Innocenti, an order of knights dedicated to eradicating the faith of the gods. A precarious assignment to say the least. Innocenti torture whores ("revirginize" they call it) as a rule of thumb. But Shadyia must do this or the order may descend on her entire sisterhood. Added to her troubles is her own past when she killed a noble and a forbidden romance with a fellow sister--either of which, if the Innocenti were to discover, would land her in the dungeons under their temple.

Seven years of being forged, professionally edited. An adult, romantic adventure set in a parallel Renaissance age of vicious nobles, zealot crusaders and veiled magic.

Check it out!

I know its old, but this thread just appeared in my new posts list, and though I mostly lurk these days, this particular book club struck me as a nice idea. Is it still going on somewhere or did it fizzle out?  If it did the thread still suggests a few reads, for which I am grateful.

Hi, it's going on but on a more sedate scale, especially now through the Christmas period.

The current book is American Craftsmen by Tom Doyle, and it's being discussed in this section:
http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/american-craftsmen/

You can also go back to previous months' discussions and post, if you're only reading them now. I'm sure the authors would happily reply, if they're still around :)

Hello Book-clubbers.
Mentioning a few names here to promote this post:
@tebakutis, @Lanko, @Eli_Freysson, @TomDoyle, @G_R_Matthews, @Justan Henner , @Eclipse , @xiagan

I've been really remiss lately about caring for the Club. I especially want to apologise to Tom Doyle, since I've been completely absent from these threads during the last two months.

Meanwhile, the next Club read is upon us, and it's Eli Freysson's space opera "The War of the Usurper".
The U.S. Amazon link is:
https://www.amazon.com/War-Usurper-Golden-Throne-Book-ebook/dp/B01MZ1H5M5

Eli, how would you break it up chapter-wise for four sections?
Xiagan or @Arry, could one of you set up the area for this Feb/March read?

And, finally, I think we should make Eli's book the last "Forum Authors" book for a little while. That will end us on a great note, and we can go on to other things.

Eli, how would you break it up chapter-wise for four sections?

Well, as I originally wrote The War of the Usurper as a short story serial, each chapter is named after the POV character. So I suggest we make it:

1: The Marshal
2: The Royal Guard
3: The Scout
--------
4: The Rogue
5: The Dark Sister
6: The Mercenary
--------
7: The Handmaiden
8: The Partisan
9: The Spy
--------
10: The Duke
11: The Queen
--------

... and as I went over the list, I just realised that sectioning them off like this actually fits.
1-The early days of the war
2-The outsiders
3-The behind the scenes type folks
4-The final days

Just in time for the Book Club to take a temporary leave of absence. I was never one for timing  ;D

Well if it ever fires up again, I would love to throw my name in the hat just in case.

I present to you, Tournament of Hearts: The Librarian Gladiator!

https://www.amazon.com/Tournament-Hearts-Librarian-Gladiator-Book-ebook/dp/B00R8Q0NFG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424921988&sr=8-1&keywords=tournament+of+hearts

*crickets*

But in all seriousness, it's been reviewed pretty well for a debut novel! ToH had its year (or week) in the sun, sharing a few beers (or a sip) with Mr. George Martin on the charts before being unceremoniously kicked into the gutter with the rest of the indie/small press fantasy novels in the #500,000+ Kindle Paid club. And that's where it's stayed ever since, getting a few looks here and there and, for all intents and purposes, dying a slow and painful death.

Anyway, if we ever decide to fire this baby up again, @Jmack, please consider my novel  :) I would be absolutely thrilled to get a few F-F eyes on it. Thank you kindly!
Author of Tournament of Hearts: The Librarian Gladiator.
