Nominating Helen Lowe's The Heir of Night (The Wall of Night #1)

I overlooked this last time I was in this thread. Seconding this as well.

Also, I was planning on opening the vote tomorrow, so if there are any more nominations or second, make them now :)

Voting is now open! Since there were not nearly as many options as we have been having, everyone just gets 2 votes to start. I will narrow the field by Thursday.

Also note, there are two books in the poll that do not have paperbacks, I have marked that to make sure everyone is aware.

Adding a blurb for Dragon's Path

The Dragon's Path (The Dagger and the Coin #1) by Daniel Abraham

All paths lead to war...
Marcus' hero days are behind him. He knows too well that even the smallest war still means somebody's death. When his men are impressed into a doomed army, staying out of a battle he wants no part of requires some unorthodox steps.
Cithrin is an orphan, ward of a banking house. Her job is to smuggle a nation's wealth across a war zone, hiding the gold from both sides. She knows the secret life of commerce like a second language, but the strategies of trade will not defend her from swords.
Geder, sole scion of a noble house, has more interest in philosophy than in swordplay. A poor excuse for a soldier, he is a pawn in these games. No one can predict what he will become.
Falling pebbles can start a landslide. A spat between the Free Cities and the Severed Throne is spiraling out of control. A new player rises from the depths of history, fanning the flames that will sweep the entire region onto The Dragon's Path-the path to war.

How come The Bone Season states no paperback? Paperback has been available for quite some time now

Because the paperback release date is showing as May 6, 2014 in both the US and UK.

It is so weird to see Australia see all these releases ahead of time. What makes us so special? haha

Maybe Skippy found the paperbacks down the old abandoned mine shaft?

There was a 4 way tie, so we have 4 choices in the final round. Everyone gets just 1 vote now. :)

I see the final 4, but my original 2 choices are still selected, and I don't have the option to vote for just a single one.  Do I have to remove my votes and then just submit one?  It also says the vote closes on Dec. 16th, so maybe that's why it's doing that?  Never had this problem before...

Yep, as soon as you click Remove Vote', you can select which book you want to vote for.  :)

Thanks Arry!  Of the 4 here, I would be pleased to read 3 of them, so knowing my luck, the 4th will be chosen.  That being said, I've been pleasantly surprised by some books I would have never voted for, so I should just stop my grumbling and get in the holiday spirit  :-X

Hah! I have too. I actually think I would be happy with any of the 4. I've only read one of them, but own 3 of them (and nominated the 4th). I haven't decided what to vote for yet.

Oh it'll all work out then!  2 are on the TBR pile, and one is an all-time favourite, so we're in good shape for February either way.  We do still have to get through January first, and the discussions so far have me worried!!

All the more reason to take the opportunity to read it with a group! I haven't read it yet but am very intrigued by what people have said. Even if it sounds like they are trying to scare people out of reading it ;)
