Ok, so I might actually be able to get this story done. What time zone do you go by? Yep, it could be that close. (It might also end up done but not good enough for anyone else to see. I'm not sure.)

I look forward to reading the stories, too. There's not enough good steampunk around, it can be such a fun genre.

Oh don't rush it, I normally keep it open a couple of days after month end for those who are just finishing.

Posted! Thanks ScarletBea, now I had time to both finish the story and actually be quite happy with it. It ended up uncomfortably close to 2000 words, but it stayed within the limits.
