I look forward to reading the stories, too. There's not enough good steampunk around, it can be such a fun genre.

Oh don't rush it, I normally keep it open a couple of days after month end for those who are just finishing.

Posted! Thanks ScarletBea, now I had time to both finish the story and actually be quite happy with it. It ended up uncomfortably close to 2000 words, but it stayed within the limits. :)
