Title: [Sep/Oct 2019] - School - Voting Thread
Post by: ScarletBea on November 04, 2019, 12:28:36 PM
It's time to vote on the September/October Writing Contest: "School"

This time we got just 4 entries - thanks to all who participated.

Please read through all of the entries in the submission thread and place your votes for your favourite entry in this thread. You won't be able to see the vote breakdown until the vote closes, so spread the word for others to come and vote! We do ask that if you entered, to vote for someone else.

The key for the numbers of votes is this: 1-5 entries: 1 vote, 5-10 entries: 2 votes, 11-15 entries: 3 votes, 16-19: 4 votes, 20-25: 5 votes, 26+: 6 votes

Remember that the winning entry will be posted on the main Fantasy-Faction site in a few months.

Good luck to all our entrants and thank you for taking the time to read the stories and vote! :)

And voted - I really liked all stories, but in the end it was between two, and went with something more different...

5 votes so far (you all above), could we get more votes, please?
Only 2 days left!

Voted but so hard to decide. Two grim, two with hope but all leaving me wanting to know much more. Thank you, writers.

Congratulations @Jonathan Ryan, your second win in a row :D
Where's your entry for November? ;)

I liked your story, but in the end votes for the 'weird' one from @bdcharles, hehe

I liked all four, though, which is unusual!

Congratulations @Jonathan Ryan on your win :) Cracking entries all round. Nora got my vote this time. I really enjoyed the voice of the characters.

In other news - second, woohoo! Thanks @ScarletBea and anyone else who voted for mine :)

@bdcharles, I hope you weren't writing from experience ;)
I found your story quite disturbing, but then again I assume that was the feeling you were going for, right?

I think that the lack of name, identity, was what affected the most - and how young he was when he started at the school.

Errrm ... well .... hmm, mumble-mumble ... they do say write what you know, so ...

Ok, ok, I may have embellished a little; a dragon never actually consumed the charred remains of any schoolfellow, though it definitely felt like one was about to whenever the science teacher lost his rag. ;)
