I should have said "inspired by" Ms. Scarlet, as there's not much to the CWQ, and I thought she came across a little patronizing, which Bea is not. But 1500 words is a tight space to say anything at all :)

Oh thank you very much Alex!
I ended up voting for Carter's story only, because I was torn between Alex and Rukaio. They were too similar for me to have a real favourite, so I chose against voting for a second story.

Congrats on good work all around. I liked Nighwrite's story too, but it lacked true regret or true redemption. It felt too ill fitted to the topic. Soz!  :P

Congratz, @The Gem Cutter ! I voted for you and @Alex Hormann.

That said, this was really hard. @Jmack wrote in a really bold and gripping style, @Nora also had a very curious and creative ghost story, Mikaela wrote a pretty good one too and @Rukaio_Alter was my second vote until I read Gem's story.

I stuck with Alex's because the flashbacks allowed me to see the character better, though Rukaio had a more powerful ending and reason for the character agreeing to help.
Slow and steady wins the race.

Congratulations TGC on your story, enjoyed it very much.  ;D I finally voted for you and Alex, although liked Rukaio’s story too.

Many congratulations to @The Gem Cutter. The origin of the Clockwork Queen et al is quite lovely, but I voted for it because of the grandeur and poignancy of the tale and characters. It was... noble.

I also voted @Nora’s tale and enjoyed all the others.
