Because sharing is caring, here is some great songs to oil up everyone's inspiration. I'm listening to them as I edit the beginning of my story now...

This song is freaking awesome, though hardly pirate related :

Come on Rapto-saurus, try on the topic this month, see how it goes!

Apparently Stream Piracy is a name for when waters get diverted from one stream bed to another. Water Elemental Pirates raiding each other?

And if we're doling out some piratical-ish Irish folk...

You post it in the submission thread, according to the instructions.

This is a forum, not sure why you mention an app.

Maybe he's confused by tapatalk or used to some other forum's way of doing things?

Newbie question: Are there any rules or regulations on swearing and other derogatory language that one may put within a story? I only ask for two reasons:

1) I noticed the curse words in @ArcaneArtsVelho 's fantasticly funny poem from the last contest were either tactfully, or maybe just cleverly,  ***ed out, and

2) I don't usually use foul language, but it IS PIRATES we're talking about...  ;)

Also, I'm a firm believer that one of the best aspects of writing fiction is that ability to write characters who say things that you yourself could never even dream of saying, am I right?

@AFrasier, I'm pretty sure you can use them (right, @xiagan?)
Maybe just note down a warning in the submission, outside the closed spoiler tag, and then the people who don't want to read it can just skip over yours.

Absolutely. I'm totally against any form of censorship when it comes to writing.
Explicit language or other stuff you feel a reader should be warned about before can be written before the spoiler tags like Bea said. :)

have you ever been forced to watch jake?  no.  no.  no.

in better news, i have the nuggets of my story all laid out.  i'll let it percolate to see if i like it or not.  pirates are cool, but i'm more of a ninja guy myself.

oh-ho!

leans in close to @xiagan and whispers:  so, maybe the next three contests are going to be ninjas, robots, monkeys?
