I read the book based on the book club blurb. I was intrigued enough by the book to join the forum. What's next? I guess it is to attempt to participate.

Great! Hope to see you in the discussions are which are split into 4 weeks. I have the chapter break points for each week in the first post in this thread. Each week, I'll open a discussion thread on the designated chapters where everyone can comment on that section of the book. I usually try to open the first week's discussion on about the 3rd of the month.

started last night. I am going to try to catch up this week. chapter one seemed to read pretty fast so maybe i will be caught up, but if not, i will be caught up by the end of week 2.

I just realized that Arry put the discussion up on the 2nd day of reading, so I am not as far behind as I thought  :o

Started this. Its taking forever to read!  :(

Quite like the humour but couldn't care less about any of the characters so far (13% in) ....and is there some kind of plot in the offing at some point??

Sadly, I would guess you will not like the book if this is your reaction so far. But I challenge you to prove me wrong!  ;D

It is a bit different, delves into more political, strategy and financial tangents than any other book I have read.

I think I would have to classify KJP as literary fantasy - expecting a plot-driven story is probably fruitless :)

You are going to have fun. Far and away the most interesting discussions we have ever had on a book club book.

?? They are still there.  ;)

And if you comment, you might still get a response :) Interesting book, am definitely still eager to hear other people's reactions to it.
