And next month’s theme of Prejudice is sure to produce lighthearted fare, as well!

Well, I don't think I can enter it given my current writing workload, so you'll probably be spared one of the depressive writers that way lol

You all know I was teasing, don't you? Of course fantasy stories won't be filled with sweetness and light, how boring that would be.
Go for your lives, all you faithful writers, and thank you again for the enjoyment you give me.

Oh I thought voting closed on the weekend, I guess I gave it a couple more days because I created it later hehe
Still very close, but now there's a story in front.....

Heyyyy!! Congrats
@Alex Hormann
you had my vote this month!
Wow, I see what you meant Scarlet, this was curiously close. I'll happily take it as a compliment however xD
It was a bit of an unconventional month in the end, for theme/story relation.

Congratulation,
@Alex Hormann
!
I had a really hard time choosing, and almost picked yours. It was unconventional, and I liked that about. Interesting ideas and prose, too.
@Nora
, I went for yours. The ticking time bomb didn’t come through so strongly to me, but STAR WARS FANFIC!!!!
And a cool story.

Congrats, Alex, another win!
My vote went to
@Jake Baelish
, I really liked it, with a super-close-by-a-whisker story from Jmack. Then again, he knows I love Gurdig and Grey, so he can take a virtual vote

@ScarletBea
The block nature of the paragraphs is why I'm surprised I won, but there is a reason for it.
Spoiler
for
Hiden
:
In keeping with the spiral theme, the number of words in each paragraph is a countdown in the reverse order of the Fibonacci sequence. This is also why the story overall is so short, as I didn't want a massive block right at the start.
I voted for
@Jake Baelish
too. Great little story and much easier to read.

Oh what a cool idea!! I didn't notice it
(and I deleted my comment because I went back to check and it wasn't so bad after all hehe)

Congrats, Alex!
Cool idea with the formatting.
I'm still at a loss for words about Nora's fan fic submission. It's not even February!

My short stories are full of weird technical bits that 80% won't notice and 20% will be annoyed by.

Congrats Alex! It was a cool concept and an interesting take on the theme (though I won't pretend I cottened on to it being the Fibonacci sequence
).
I went with JMack's goblins this time, loved the idea with the heart and I felt it captured the theme well
Thanks Alex and Scarlet for the vote for No Time For Argument

Jake, you're welcome: I was really feeling sorry for him, after yet another dead end with the antidote
Alex, I forgot to say I really enjoyed the image of the child climbing up the slide "the wrong way"!
