Congratulations, Nora!
It was a great twist on "possession", and really well done.

And it's always fascinating to me how the votes spread out.
We should dust off the amazing spreadsheet and see what the highest % of votes vs. voters has ever been.
How many times has a story gotten votes from more than 50% of voters?

And now....
Let the voting for Mighty Beasts begin!  ;D

Let the voting for Mighty Beasts begin!  ;D
Let me take a breather, please ;)
I'll create the thread later today :P
(trust me, there's nothing I'd like more than do that instead of working... but I shouldn't)

How many times has a story gotten votes from more than 50% of voters?
Are you asking hypothetically? Because 8/19=42%

Whoooaaaa... Thanks a lot everyone! I think I'm a bit giddy with excitement and pride, right now - which is bad, since it's 2.30am and I ought to sleep.

This was my 8th contribution, and I can tell how significant the progress has been, trudging along from topic to topic, with weird months and great months where everything flowed (like October) or late month where nothing would come, learning the subtleties of the craft one rookie mistake at a time  ::)

I'm really grateful to you guys and gotta say that this means a lot to me, what with my being French and all, such a prejudice in my way to a seamless English (Henry you're my fellow genius french-handicapped buddy there aren't ya?).  ;D
Jokes apart, winning a month was a real goal I chased with enough earnestness that I'll probably crack a fancy beer bottle in private celebration tomorrow, thinking of y'all!

This month I voted for @tebakutis, @night_wrtr, @SJBudd and @Elfy! Great works! I'll happily say more to everyone when the critic thread opens (and I sleep).

Atku:
How about just last month, JMack?
Tebakutis knocked it of the park with 12 out of 21 votes.

WOOHOO! Congrats Nora. You had an excellent story (I loved how you flipped the standard possession script) and I thought the idea was very creative. Well deserved!

Congratulations, Nora!  :)
It was a great story.

Grats @Nora! (finally managed to post, trains got cancelled and phones died  :P)
I was one of the many votes for you once again.

I'm really grateful to you guys and gotta say that this means a lot to me, what with my being French and all, such a prejudice in my way to a seamless English (Henry you're my fellow genius french-handicapped buddy there aren't ya?).  ;D

You can call me genius once I win the writing contest once. For now, you're the genius among us  ;)
Enjoy your victory while I check out the next subject...  ::)

I voted for @Nora, @Jmack, @OnlyOneHighlander and @Raptori & @Saurus.

But it was a very difficult month for me: I had 6 stories all with the same score, and 2 following very close behind, so in the end it was a question of what I felt when I looked at the stories again.
Very well done to all :D

Congrats, Nora!

Lots of really fun stories this month.

Voted for @Raptori & @Saurus and @SJBudd.  After that I had way too many tied to try to pick two.  :)
