Such good images. I've got some thoughts for number 2.

Number 5 makes me think of the Nilfgaardian fleet at the end of Witcher 3.

I wanted to like 1 and 5... A’s ideas just spring off the page for those two.
But 3 brings a favourite song to mind that now won’t get out of my head after 24 hours. So a combination inspiration looks like it is on the cards.
Now I just have to work out how to tie the two ideas together!

I love the second image, and it's making me want to write a story despite doing NaNoWriMo.

I’ve found that firewalls and content blocking at work will block the pictures. Plus, you might try a desktop if you’re looking via phone. Just switch up what firewall and device you’re using and see what happens.

#s 1 and 5 have my interest.
Opening lines.

#1: “You’re mad!!”
#5: “He would have preferred a ship for killing, but the little boat was better for this night’s work.”

I lied. It’s not 1 or 5, it’s 3.
A character introduced herself to me on the drive to work today.
I love how your mind works ;D
*non-writer awe*

The darn character wants a whole book.  :P >:(

@JMack, then we can look forward to her first chapter/ prologue.

These pictures certainly do get the brain working differently.  I ended up following a thought proscess that would have taken me waaay too far from the prompt. So have shelved it for another month where maybe it might fit better.  Hey it might even let me add more Ents...

So back to the cabin and charts I go to try and start again.

Ohhh I hadn’t actually gone there...
Though reflecting on the idea that seems a bit violent.  I mean it’s like a ship of flesh and bones....
Suddenly Robin Hobb comes to mind.

I'm really loving the thought processes! :D

I wonder how we can incorporate it in the contest, one month - "see the bones of the story", as it was...

Put me down for number six, just need swashbuckling and wizardry to be congruous elements in my head now

@ScarletBea I honestly don’t think I could explain the flesh and bones of my ideas. I think I have a rough idea,  I start and then it all changes. As for character twists; never planned. They are a surprise to me as much as the reader at first, then I have to go back and deal with the necessary changes in the earlier section that now need to happen because of them!  I’m finding it much easier to do that in a short story than when 60k words through my WIP, a new character appears and I now need to go change chapter 2. ( again)

I’m a total pantser. I try to plan- and it stops my writing dead in the water.

I think this months entry is done...  just need to sit on it for a few days to spot the errors I know will be there when I have fresh eyes.

So when you brits say you're a pantser, you're talking about underpants?
