Congrats, Anonymous, on your (first?) win! :D

I liked your story, but others got my vote, namely: Gem Cutter, tebakutis and Jmack :)
And Nora, you lost a vote with me by a very thin whisker - I really enjoyed your story this month too!!!

Wow, hats a surprise Bea!! Who were the two crazy people who voted for me? I gotta thank you all because I really had to cut the life out of this story to fit the words and had no hope for it!

I voted for Teb, Jeff and Rukaio but it was indeed a very tough month. The general outline of the votes doesn't really surprise me. Everyone did pretty evenly well!

Congratulations on your win Anonymous, person of mystery. ;D

My votes went to tebakutis, Lightrunner and Yun Li,  but there were two others very close.

Wow, I'd congratulate Anonymous, but I don't know who they are! I'm glad some folks enjoyed my little story. :)

I enjoyed all the stories and it was really tough to pick my favorites, so my votes were based mainly on which ideas I found the most clever and memorable.

My votes went to Jeff Pryor (I just loved the idea of a "Hotel California" tavern where you sing until the audience kills you, then end up singing there forever), Lightrunner (the "earworm" idea was gross, but also brilliant, and the anima idea reminded me a bit of The Golden Compass) and Rukaio_Alter (his "music magic" was probably my favorite of the bunch). Rukaio, if you are developing a book in that universe, as you mentioned, make sure to let us know how it's going. I want to read it!

Wow.  Thank you to all those who voted.  I was not expecting that at all.  As so often happens, it was a very strong month with some fantastic stories - Jmack, tebakutis and Nora got my votes but to be honest I could have had 5 votes to use and still struggled to narrow it down.

I had my reasons for posting anonymously that I very briefly explained to xiagan.  However as a little background, this was the first story I've got to a point where I am even remotely happy for someone else, anyone else, to read in nearly 2 years, so even a single vote would have counted as an huge success.  So thank you again.
