[Mar 2019] - Story Circle - Voting Thread
« on: April 03, 2019, 01:01:10 PM »
It's time to vote on the March Writing Contest: "Story Circle"

This time we got 5 entries - thanks to all who participated.

Please read through all of the entries in the submission thread and place your votes for your favourite entry in this thread. You won't be able to see the vote breakdown until the vote closes, so spread the word for others to come and vote! We do ask that if you entered, to vote for someone else.

The key for the numbers of votes is this: 1-5 entries: 1 vote, 5-10 entries: 2 votes, 11-15 entries: 3 votes, 16-19: 4 votes, 20-25: 5 votes, 26+: 6 votes

Remember that the winning entry will be posted on the main Fantasy-Faction site in a few months.

Good luck to all our entrants and thank you for taking the time to read the stories and vote! :)

4 people voted, just over a week left. Votes spread...

I was wavering between 2 stories, in the end chose with emotion :)

Just voted. All good, but two of them I really, really enjoyed, and were completely different! Wasn't easy to choose.

Now need to find time in this next week to get my erotic story finished - I have a plan, a weird one, hopefully we'll get there in time  :)

Super hard to vote. If it's possible, I may change my vote in the next days to another story...

Also very hard to vote between my final two. Read through again and made a choice. Liked the theme, even though it didn't attract many takers. Good luck and thanks to all who gave us a story.  :) :)

Just over 24 hours left to vote!

Only 5 stories, different and very interesting takes on the theme - please read and VOTE!

6 votes so far, quite evenly distributed... anyone can win!

Congrats @Cell18, I believe it's your first win :D

I voted for @Jake Baelish, although I almost voted for @Alex Hormann too, these 2 were my favourites!

Congrats to your win, @Cell18! :)

@Carter, your story was good but a bit too confusing.

And I think @Rukaio_Alter 's story was WAY out of the box ;D

Thanks for the vote @ScarletBea and congrats Cell!

I went with Alex's story in the end, for it's mythical tone. I also VERY nearly went with Rukaio's, it was really brilliantly played with. But in the end Alex's tone and sticking with the structure won out  :)

Should have time for this month's contest - I hope  :)

Well done @Cell18.  A good story, well executed and got my vote.

Thanks for the feedback @xiagan.  I knew it was likely to be a bit of an odd one when I was considering and writing it.  It might also end up being the last one I post for a good length of time as well.  I have been struggling with my writing for some time now - not just the short stories but with all my other works in progress so may take this as an opportunity to take something of a break from the contests, re-focus and try and figure some things out.

I'll still read and vote of course as I would not want to miss out on everything people put up month in and month out and look forward to being an interested bystander instead.
