[June 2014] - Taboo - Voting Thread
« on: July 02, 2014, 09:46:14 PM »
It's time to vote on June's Writing Contest - Taboos!

There were nine entries this time. Well done and thank you!

Please read through all of the entries in the submission thread and place your votes for your two favorite entries in this thread. You won't be able to see the vote breakdown until the vote closes, so spread the word for others to come and vote! We do ask that if you entered, to vote for someone else.

The key for the numbers of votes is this: 1-5 entries: 1 vote, 5-10 entries: 2 votes, 11-15 entries: 3 votes

Remember that the winning entry will be posted on the main Fantasy-Faction site in August 2014.
The last winning entries haven't been published on the main site yet. Apologies for that. Their corresponding posts have been written, though, and they are in the pipeline and should be displayed soon.

Good luck to all our entrants and thank you for voting! :)

Oh this month it was so hard to choose just 2!

How do you people decide?
Sometimes I really love the story, but the writing is so clunky/spelling mistakes that points are lost, but other times I ignore that because the idea is so great... *confused*

I first rule out any that may have missed the theme (sometimes it may be that I did not get the theme within the writing) I then look at how well it is written- I will then move onto the development ect..

^ ah, so you actually vote with your "author's hat" on, while I vote with a purely "reader's hat" :)

Simple:  I vote for the stories that I want to win. ;)

Sometimes it's because it's a really nice piece of writing, sometimes a fun story, sometimes a neat ending, sometimes a clever interpretation of the theme, ...
