Yeah, I was going fast.

D_Bates - dark, broody, interesting story
Rukaio_Alter - so funny
Ely (unsummonable) Freysson - yes I can see Nora's wendigo peeking out but it was your own cool thing

I don't know what that is.

But yes, congratulations to the winners.

And let Henry sing the praises of being unsummonable, and I will try to talk you into changing your user name to "Eli_Freysson" with an underscore. Which makes you summonable. Which makes you easier to communicate with. Which makes you cool, no matter what Henry thinks.  8) ;) ;D

I will . . . think about it.

Being a social failure is sort of my thing by this point. :)
I'll notify your next of kin... that you sucked!

I can't seem to break second place >:(.

In all seriousness though, good job to everyone. A story in 500 words is a really tough thing to pull off, so everyone's a winner for just managing to pull it off. It's really great to see so many people participating, and more so to see the overwhelmingly positive responses those who are reading them are giving.

Ely, don't worry, he refers you to a piece of work I posted in both the critique forum in the early begin of it months ago, and more recently for review in the writer club.
It features a wendigo, so the main thing going on is hunger and starvation, and the drive to feed on human flesh. Nothing I get a monopoly on, and you don't seem to have read it anyway! Your story seemed more inspired by vampires

I've only just come back to this thread, having wondered this morning how voting went... I'm completely chuffed to bits. Thanks all who liked mine and congrats to my co-winner. It was a great month and I'd have to say I really enjoyed having the constraints of flash fiction.

thanks again all. It's been a hard, hard week in waka-town and this has really buoyed my spirits. Woohoo!
