Well, I ended up going with that "morbid" idea, which ain't so bad after writing. I will be continuing the short, 'cause I have a story to tell from it. Won't be long. Will probably post it on my blog when I'm finished. After July, of course. ;)

Good luck to the rest!

Thanks for the comment on mine, glad you liked it.  I just read yours, really interesting, makes a good short but also there's a lot more story in the tank for the setup you've created, I'll be curious to see where you take it.

Ugh, don't think I'll be able to write a story this month.  I must rely on all of you to entertain me.  ;)  Love the stories so far - keep them coming!  I want to read more!

Well my effort is in.  A little worse for ware as I'm heading offshore tomorrow and didnt get to spend as long as I would have liked on it.

Really enjoyed reading TOMunro's and C.Hill's, saying that I really liked Elfy and areadingmachines too hehe.  Looking forward to reading more, good luck to everyone.

Nothing really interesting came to me with this theme, so I guess I'll be skipping this month's contest.

On the other hand, I've seen some great stories already. Hope more will come before the end of the month!  :)

Thought I wouldn't take part this month, but an idea just came to me a couple of days ago and I really wanted to shape it into a story. Would have been better if I had had a little more time, but it was certainly delightful to write  :)

Finally got my entry in, last minute as usual. :D I have so many abandoned drafts and was never fully happy with the idea but I'm glad I got it done. Now I can enjoy having a read of the other entries. Good luck everyone!

Finally got one finished.  It's not what I initially started to write - the idea for that one ended up growing far beyond 1500 words - so it ended up a little rushed.  Good luck and I look forward to reading everyone's entries.
