You don't need to feel bad, Bea. I'd already worked it out anyway.

And, occasional tongue-in-cheek joke aside, I'm actually perfectly happy with 2nd place. I really wasn't expecting to do all that well this month anyway considering how many really great entries there were (seriously, I'd call this one of the best since Space Opera) and the fact that a ton of them did the same 'talking to writer' concept I used. So it was a rather nice surprise learning how close I came. Guess I'll have to wait until next time to try and get three in a row.

Plus I finished in front of my eternal rival Jmack. So much for the "risk that JMack might come out ahead of me" being too much to bear. Nyahaha! *twiddles moustache

I don't even remember who I voted for now because I did it right away.  But my favorite of all of them won congratulations.

The ones you voted for should be bold in the list at the top of this thread.  ;)

They should be, but my phone refuses to let me see them or the entire poll. Ill have to look later although it doesn't much matter.

Congratulations @m3mnoch, fun story I enjoyed especially becos dragon, and a close finish. Absolutely bumper selection, but my final choices were for Nora, Jmack, OnlyOneHighlander and night_wrtr,. Will explain what I liked about them later or in crit thread but unfortunately have to go out now.

Lanko, thank you for your vote, the AC style was unintentional, but see what you mean and appreciate the comparison, very flattering ;)    I was thrilled to gather 3 votes, hope you all know I only do this for fun and not competitive, so any votes are a treat.

Can't believe I actually forgot to vote  ::) The good thing is that it wouldn't have made a difference anyway, so big congratulations to @m3mnoch:)

even after this post from Lady Ty?

A bump up because time is running out and it's short month February. Wouldn't it be a shame if anyone FORGOT to vote ?  ::)

Well done to @m3mnoch!

This challenge was a lot of fun and all the wall breaking has inspired me to check out a certain Mr D Pool's new film this weekend...

Thanks to all those who voted for my story. My very old laptop finally went to join the calculators in silicon heaven this month so I didn't manage to get a story in for February, but I hope to be back in action soon (using my work computer to post this... Ahem, I mean working on those meeting minutes, honest)
