...Odysseus from the Odyssey ...
We have a winner!
Congratulations, Nora! You will be rewarded with one special LIKE (in the submissions thread when you post your story).

Thank you all for participating.  ;D

Now I should go brush up on my Odyssey and learn the Homeric hexametre (or whatever it's called)...
IF I was going to participate.
Everything I wrote above is pure conjecture. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm a perfectionist but not very good at anything. That's why I rarely finish things.

And Henry, I think that my submitting once after the time limit out of 11 submissions quite forbids the use of superlatives.
That's all it takes to make a name  ;)

I've taken such a lazy story telling shortcut this month that I wouldn't be surprised if I weren't the only one pitching it.
No insulted intended by calling anyone lazy but hey...  ;D

Glad it wasn't Beowulf as I feared, I'm part way through my own poem featuring Beowulf. Though I cant say I'm really getting in to the fanfic stuff very easily. It all just comes out so clipped up and wrong.

I'm still deciding if I'm entering this month. It's hard enough for me to write my own voice. I do like the idea writing Legion though.

So I'm listening to this song on repeat as I write, and I find it so awesome that I'll share it with y'all :

Just because I don't know where to put this, this is the theme song of the series "100 code" (long version) and I keep humming it all the time - love the chorus.

@ScarletBea, so cool. Listening to the EP on Apple Music now.

I have recently read and enjoyed work by Jen Williams and look back fondly on work by Patrick Rothfuss. I think the no nonsense character of Wydrin would be a complete contrast for that of Kvothe's need to always be right, so I've submitted a story that puts them together. I've no expectations, I just hope you all enjoy it. Thanks for the opportunity.

This is going to be a really hard month to vote on, seriously...  :-[  I know none of the characters of anyone's stories. Jokes and references will be lost on me. And there is hardly any room to develop character, or their specifics, and build the story at the same time.

Even as I work on mine I realise it's going to be extremely hard to enjoy and grasp for anyone who hasn't read the book of my MC, because of the somewhat complex magic he uses. I've had to cut down references because they'd be opaque.

Considering what others have said, esp Nora's comments above about not understanding characters etc, I couldn't decide what to do and just went for a random out there idea.

Not entirely sure it's within the rules of the contest but it is a fight between two character's from fantasy books. Just happens to be one with words instead...kind of.

Frankly who cares! :)

I don't know, I haven't read the copper cat and I got the character she was supposed to be, write what you want to do.
