[Feb 2015] - Fanfic - Voting Thread
« on: March 02, 2015, 09:56:31 PM »
It's time to vote on February's Writing Contest: Fanfic!

Nine entries! A slight drop but that was to be expected. A lot of people don't like to write in other people's worlds. (They think it's unhygienic. ;)) Thanks a lot for nine great stories, I hope you enjoyed the exercise. :)

Please read through all of the entries in the submission thread and place your votes for your two favorite entries in this thread. You won't be able to see the vote breakdown until the vote closes, so spread the word for others to come and vote! We do ask that if you entered, to vote for someone else.

The key for the numbers of votes is this: 1-5 entries: 1 vote, 5-10 entries: 2 votes, 11-15 entries: 3 votes, 16 and more: 4 votes

Remember that the winning entry will be posted on the main Fantasy-Faction site in a few months.

Good luck to all our entrants and thank you for taking the time to read the stories and vote! :)

To be honest, sometimes we have 3 votes and my third is almost just because the story was 'nice'.
This month I haven't read them all yet and I already have 3 strong contenders, and we can only vote for 2 >:(

Well, the key for the number of votes is the number of submissions - which makes sense. Three submissions and three votes would be stupid, for example. ;)

I know, I wasn't complaining about the system - just the quality of the submissions, they're too good ;D

It shouldn't be.  With all respect to us writers, I strongly feel there's one stand out... and it's not mine.  ;D

always the kittens
Lol  :P

Spoiler for Hiden:
Honestly couldn't have guessed. They were all pretty similar level from my perspective.  :)

I liked that one too, but I guess since I've not read either Discworld or Broken Empire (which I think are the ones that's about?) it didn't stand out as much as it might have done if I had any idea what was going on!  :D

I guess anything with kittens in it is always a good shout.

Woo hoo, @Saraband! Great win, Miguel.

And to @TOMunro, I loved your story. What a cool idea to do a combo fan fic.

Always fun, everyone. Congrats to all.  ;D
