So I originally had resigned myself to not having a story this month as nothing was coming to me. But it seems the spirit of Christmas decided to strike with inspiration this morning. I ended up writing the first draft on my phone while waiting for breakfast to finish baking.

Transferred it over to my laptop during the lull between activities and I hope to have a more polished story by the end of the week.

I am working on mine. Just have to disentangle two different concepts that aren’t really compatible and ended up in the same partial draft.

I'm in. This is only the second time I've written in an epistolary format, but it felt right to set the story as such.

Feel you. I have a concept and no plot to make a nice resolve. No inspiration forthcoming and the month was so mental I'm barely recuperating mentally.

Ooh, very regency! Looking forward to reading this

It's a bit experimental (for me) but mine's in.

5 stories so far...
Is this going to be like previous months, and we get a bunch of them on the last day(s)?
I'm going to be nice and let you still write and submit on New Year's Day ;D

Some obvious misses from past months have been our regulars @Lanko and @Rukaio_Alter. And @m3mnoch, stop building work for a while and do some writing work 8)

I definitely won't be in since I have literally nothing. So unless a weird madness overcomes me and compels me to do nothing but write on the 1st, not gonna happen. It was a great topic but a very bad month. Busy, no two days off in a row, my head full of work work work and my time off spent reading 3 books at the same time. Sorry.

Sorry. Got all the next few weeks busy with Uni deadlines, so I don't really have the free time this month. Plus nothing is amazingly jumping out at me idea-wise for this topic.

I might get a last minute inspiration flash tomorrow, but don't necessarily count on it.

I too, am guilty of seriously slacking off on the contests. It's been a crazy few months, but one of my New Year's resolutions is to start participating again, beginning in January. So, consider this my vow to have a story in January 2018 and the months to come!
